Welcome to 1st Kingston Hill Scout Group one of the oldest Groups within the scouting movement, and part of the Greater London South West Scout County and Royal Kingston Scout District providing young people scouting within the Richmond to Croydon areas. 

Our group has been mixed since the 1991 charter when the association opened its doors to girls. We currently hold weekly meetings in our HQ in Park Road, Kingston, and have 1 Beaver Colony, 1 Cub Pack, 1 Scout Troop.

Offering scouting to all young people aged between 5 ¾ and 14 within the local area around our HQ. With a camping ground of just over 1 acre located to the rear of the main building, we are able to offer convenient camping facilities for trips into London for scouting and non-scouting organizations. With such a wonderful asset such as the field our members are able to hold regular camps and enjoy a wonderful outdoor space the real meaning of scouting. We can also offer on site activities such as rifle shooting and archery with our own instructors and purpose built ranges, and are looking to open up a new Tomahawk range shortly.

The Scout Group officially opened its doors on 01st February 1908, less than a year after Lord Baden Powell started the movement with his Boy Scout Camp on Brownsea Island, making us one of the oldest Groups within the scouting movement. In the summer of 1923 we acquired 1.14 acres of a Cherry Orchard from the Park Farm Estate, and have been offering adventure and excitement to many young people from within the surrounding area ever since. With 110 years of scouting already under our belts, the group now finds itself being part of one of the largest volunteer youth organization in the world, and offers a wide range of scouting and life skills to all our members.
